You’ll find The Park Hotel situated in the National Park Village — New Zealand’s most elevated settlement. We are located near Tongariro National Park and the base of Mt Ruapehu, close to the intersection of State Highways 4 & 47 on the volcanic plateau.

DIRECTIONS

From Auckland / Hamilton

Approximately 4 hours drive. Head in the direction of Otorohanga, Te Kuiti and through Taumarunui. The Park Hotel is on your right as you enter National Park on the corner of Millar St and State Highway 4.

From Wellington

Approx 4½ hours drive. Head north to Fielding and Waiouru where you turn left to Ohakune to reach State Highway 4. The Park Hotel is on your left as you enter National Park on the corner of Millar St and State Highway 4.

From Rotorua

Approx 2 hours drive. Head south on State Highway 5 towards Taupo. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit on Taupo Bypass/SH1. Continue south on SH1 along the lake front from Taupo towards Turangi. Leaving Turangi turn right onto SH41 and then at approx 3km turn left onto SH47. Stay on SH47 until you reach National Park Village.

From Taupo

Just under 1½ hours drive. Head south on SH1 along the lake front from Taupo towards Turangi. Leaving Turangi turn right onto SH41 and then at approx 3km turn left onto SH47. Stay on SH47 until you reach National Park Village.
