THE PARK HOTEL

Perfect place to walk into (and recover from) National Park walks – Crispy white sheets, tea towels and dish wash in the kitchen, duvets for use in the cupboard, pick up and drop off for Tongariro Crossing at front door, railway memorabilia in the bar, the orientation of the rooms around the inner garden, log fire in restaurant.

Reception Staff are excellent. Friendly helpful and genuine. Restaurant served very good food. Nice cosy pub with friendly bar staff. Reception very good and friendly welcome.

Cute comfortable rooms, great views of the mountain from restaurant. I recommend the a la carte menu, eggs benny was delicious. Love the lodge like feel and hot tubs are a bonus on a cool rainy day.

The staff at this hotel are amazing! We had a flat tire and they went above and beyond to assist us. What could of been very stressful was not thanks to their help. The restaurant and bar have an amazing view. Great happy hour at bar and lovely breakfast. Hotel has a lot of information about the area and the history of the area.

Comfy beds and friendly staff, great place to stay when doing the Tongariro crossing.

The service was friendly but professional, the food was ‘wow’ yet again. I had to opt for the steak – it’s the best I have had in New Zealand, in fact anywhere in the world. The portion sizes were generous, my partner took a doggy bag back with us. The restaurant is cosy and I do remember the great views of the mountains on clear days, though it was pouring with rain this time and no visibility whatsoever. We will be back!
